The spirit of Diwali illuminated LAUGFS as employees came together on 21 October to celebrate one of the most cherished festivals of the year. The event highlighted the values that Diwali represents; light, hope, and new beginnings, creating a meaningful moment of cultural connection within the organisation.
The celebration featured insightful speeches that explored the significance of Diwali and the traditions that define it. Adding a heartfelt touch, members of our Tamil community extended warm wishes to colleagues, sharing the cultural richness and personal meaning behind the festival. The atmosphere was further brightened as many employees arrived in traditional attire, bringing colour, warmth, and authenticity to the occasion.
To complete the experience, a traditional serving of payasam was shared among all employees, symbolising prosperity, joy, and togetherness. Moments like these remind us of the diversity within LAUGFS and the importance of embracing the traditions that strengthen our unity as one team.
