LAUGFS Power is dedicated to securing Sri Lanka’s energy future through innovative and renewable energy solutions. Since the establishment of its first mini hydro power plant at Ranmudu Oya, Balangoda in 2014, the company has steadily expanded its renewable portfolio, supplying clean energy directly to the National Grid.
In 2017, LAUGFS Power commissioned Sri Lanka’s largest solar power plant with a capacity of 20MW, generating 40GWh annually and significantly contributing to the nation’s green energy supply.
Today, the company operates three mini hydro power plants in Balangoda and Ginigathhena, along with two 1MW solar plants in Embilipitiya under the government’s Sooryabala Sangramaya program. In addition, 660kW of rooftop solar systems have been installed across LAUGFS companies, further promoting clean energy adoption.
Currently, LAUGFS Power is constructing a 2MW hydro power plant and advancing multiple solar projects that are in various stages of development. Looking ahead, the company is actively pursuing large-scale clean energy expansion beyond Sri Lanka, reinforcing its commitment to building a sustainable and resilient energy future for generations to come.
