LAUGFS challenges CPC circular

LAUGFS Holdings Limited and LAUGFS Lubricants (Pvt) limited filed a fundamental rights application in the Supreme Court challenging a circular issued by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) to its dealers to sell only certain brands of lubricants.The petitioners, two companies carrying out the businesses of importing, exporting and selling lubricants in Sri Lanka cited the Minister of Petroleum and Petroleum Resources Development, A. H. M. Fowzie, Ministry Secretary, W. B. Ganegala, CPC Regional Manager, CPC and Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka as respondents.
