LAUGFS Gas Lanka Limited yesterday said it would be taking legal action against the Consumers Affairs Authority (CAA) for un-ethical practices and Shell Gas Lanka Limited for LPG price manipulations as against recent price revisions. LAUGFS Group Chairman W H. Wegapitiya told Daily Mirror FT that in accordance with the ‘Pricing Formula Agreement’ signed between LAUGFS Gas Limited and CAA in consideration of the reduction of the Saudi Aramco Contracted Price pertaining to the months of July and September 2008, the CAA directed the company to revise the retail price of a domestic LPG (12.5 kg) cylinder to a maximum retail price (in Colombo) of Rs.1,679.00 with effective from 01st November 2008,
